Because we had to set our clocks ahead one hour this morning, we woke up a little later than usual. As we checked out the weather from our balcony, we discovered it was raining. Since today was a sea day, we didn't have to worry about the rain affecting a shore excursion, but it would affect Steve, Teresa, and Mei-O's plans.

The pickleball courts were all wet! Their plans to play pickleball would have to be put on hold until the rain stopped and the courts could dry out.

The rain was really slowing down, so Mei-O and I decided to join the rest of the walking crowd and take a walk around Deck 17's short walking track.

Then it was off to breakfast. Another plate of lox on a roll with red onion and tomato and some smoked whitefish was quite satisfying.

While Mei-O took a shower, I watched a little TV on our pretty good-sized room TV, then just relaxed on the balcony, enjoying the sea pass by (0:31). I loved watching the sea like this, always hoping to see something pop up - a whale or orca, a dolphin or porpoise, or, well, just anything - but during the whole cruise, I never saw anything. Yet I knew there were some creatures under there....

We walked around the ship a bit, then came across a cha-cha class on the piazza. It was so crowded, Mei-O decided to dance on Deck 6 (0:51). (Can you find her?) She quickly learned that if you want to dance on the piazza, you had to get there early.

While Mei-O danced, I walked around the ship, stopping to watch the Grand Opening Art Show in progress, then continuing on past the Crown Grill Bar. I stopped to check out a game show, Lunch Time Trivia, then eventually ended up outside on Deck 16 where I almost got a hamburger at the Salty Dog Grill (but didn't). Finally, I just relaxed on a deck chair and caught a bit of a movie (I can't recall what the movie was), then headed back to the piazza to meet Mei-O when the dance class was over.

Steve, Teresa, and Mei-O were always looking for a chance to play pickleball. When we went up to the pickleball courts, there was a scheduled soccer game in progress, but it was just ending, so they, along with another single player, got to play. Pickleball is beyond me, so I sat and watched. (I climbed up to Deck 18 to get a better view. The pickleball courts were way at the back of the ship, offering me a great view of where we were coming from!) They played for quite a while, taking turns, switching players and partners with other waiting pickleball players.
