![]() Today began with an early morning pickleball session. Even at 7:30 in the morning, Mei-O, Teresa, and Steve found other pickleball players at the courts sitting on the bench looking to form teams and play some pickleball. After each game, players would rotate in and others would sit it out waiting for their next turn. With two courts and only playing to 11 points, everyone got to play a lot of games, meeting new friends as they partnered up with other waiting players. |
![]() Not being able to play pickleball, after watching a while and taking a few pictures, I went up one more deck to Deck 18 where there's a small putting green. I putted around a while, but it wasn't that interesting, so... |
![]() ...I did what I'd always do when I was on my own with nothing to do, I walked around the ship taking pictures of whatever I found interesting, including ship maintenance (a lot of it this morning. I suppose that's how they keep these ships in such good shape for so many years), the walking track which I joined, heading over to look down on the fairly quiet pool area, eventually making my way back to the pickleball courts to see how much longer the games would go on. |
![]() After everyone got to go back to their room to get cleaned up and relax a bit, around 9:30, we all met up at the buffet for breakfast. Today I threw a couple of strips of very well-done bacon (the way I like it) onto my breakfast plate, skipping the fish and continuing to enjoy the British breakfast staple, baked beans. |
![]() As we walked around the ship this morning, the Piazza was buzzing with activity. First, there was the Hole-in-One Golf Challenge, a competition between guests. Then, Officers vs. Guests Water Pong (you know, beer pong but with water instead.) I saw a couple of good shots, but we didn't stick around to see who won. |
![]() Then this caught our eye - the Future Cruise Center. This was our 12th cruise - Steve and Teresa had a few more - and if you book your next one on board (and we were pretty sure there'd be a next one), you can save a lot of money. So after looking at a few brochures, we sat down and talked with a future cruise specialist concentrating on a Japan cruise in the fall of next year. Though there were some good deals, we just weren't ready to decide on anything so far in the future, especially with my health issues. |
![]() Believe it or not, it was still morning, and we all decided to head back to our rooms to take a break before... |
![]() ...it was time for Mei-O and Teresa to go dancing (0:22) again! Next Top |
