![]() So here it was, a day at for he last day of our cruise. Headed for Southampton, UK, we'd have to find things to do today as we sailed away from Norway and back to reality.... |
![]() I'm not sure what we did this morning. For some reason, I don't have any pictures. (We may have been busy packing.) It was pretty quiet around the ship when we finally went out. We played a little ping pong first, then, instead of heading to the buffet for lunch, ... |
![]() ...we stopped by the Salty Dog Grill to try some of their pizza. We had two slices, one each, a veggie slice and a Hawaiian-style slice, both of them much better than the pizza we tried from the buffet a few days ago. |
![]() Around 1:00, we ended up in the Princess Live! lounge to watch the "Bonus Blowout Art Auction," a chance for the ship's art dealers to get rid of a bunch of the art pieces (and other stuff) that didn't get sold during the cruise. Bidding was slow; they often brought a piece (or pieces to be sold together) out and announced a starting bid. But with a quiet audience, they took many of them away - unsold, without a single bid. (Some of the pieces did sell though.) I think a lot of the attendees were there just like us - just to watch and pass the time (it was a sea day, remember?) and satisfy our curiosity. |
![]() At 2:00, there was a "Jive Dance Class" going on on the Piazza. Rather than going down and joining the crowd, Mei-O joined in, following the leaders from Deck 7. |
![]() After the dance class, we headed up to the buffet for a snack, and found out that for this final cruise day, they were serving all sorts desserts. While I don't have any pictures (other than Mei-O eating her ice cream cone), I'm sure we sampled a few! |
![]() Back in our room, Mei-O pretty much finished up packing. The closet that during the cruise held all our hung up shirts, blouses, sweaters, and hoodies (and the bathrobes provided by the cruise line that we never wore!), now only held what we'd need when we exit the ship tomorrow morning. Our suitcases back in the corner were more or less ready to go too. |
![]() As we were headed out to dinner, we luckily ran into our stateroom attendant Marc (from the Philippines) right outside our door. I say luckily, because we needed to find him before getting off the ship tomorrow so we could give him his tip. He did a great job taking care of us and our room, so we tipped him well. We got a great smile and thank you from him as we said goodbye. Next Top |
