Scheduled to arrive in Haugesund at 8:00, we were right on time. With the ship docked port-side to the pier, from our stadboard-side room, we had a good view of the opposite shore across the bay from the city and further downstream.

We had to meet our guide and our bus for our shore excursion down on the pier at 10:00, so around 9:45 we disembarked to look for them at the Haugesund Harbour Park. After a short wait, we found them, and by 10:10, we were on the road. Click here to see pictures of our Haugesund shore excursion.

Back on the ship after our Haugesund/Karmøy tour, out on our balcony I modeled my new hoodie that I bought in a store on the pier when our tour was over. This thing cost $80, but I really loved it. It fit perfectly and comfortably and looked nice, and I really wanted something that said Norway on it (and it was made in Norway, not China), so I just couldn't resist.

After relaxing in our rooms for a short while, it was up to the buffet for lunch. Then we headed outside to get ready for...

...our departure from Haugesund. With help from a couple of tug boats, we soon were on our way, leaving Haugesund behind us.

Tonight's dinner menu didn't look that great, but escargotnoteIn fact, I forgot to take a

served. This is basically

them.
was on the menu, something Steve and I always look forward to, so we had to go. For some reason, this picture of my escargot dish (the escargot wasn't very good, being very salty, but I still finished it), is the only picture I have from tonight's formal dinner. Looking at the menu, I can't even imagine what I had for my main course. And be sure to read the "Escargot Story" here.

Later, as we made our way to the Princess Theater for tonight's show, the Piazza became a dance floor for the few couples that felt like dancing.

Tonight's Showtime performance was another production show by the ship's singers and dancers titled "Spotlight Bar" and billed as, "an imaginative show that transports guests to a vibrant bar atmosphere where they connect with local storytellers who share tales of their colorful lives through song, where a familiar modern playlist inspires camaraderie and the urge to dance." which really says it all. It was truly an exciting and entertaining show.

After the show, tired after the day's travels, we went back to our room to watch the sunset from our balcony. Tomorrow would be a sea day as we headed back to Southampton, UK, where our cruise would come to an end.
