Around 5:00, we were sailing on a very hazy sea, getting close to Southampton.

We were all packed and ready to go, so with plans to disembark around 7:30, we went up to the empty World Fresh Marketplace buffet for our last breakfast, our last meal, on the ship. I'm gonna miss having baked beans and smoked fish for breakfast. I know we could get them back home, but we probably won't.

By 6:15, we were pulling started to get a good view of the city, the "Gateway to the World," as we neared the dock. Here's a painstakingly long video (2:42) of the ship very slowly and very carefully docking.

We said our final goodbye to our room that had been our home for the last 15 days, then...

...around 7:30, we departed the ship. Dragging a suitcase and wearing a heavy backpack, I didn't take any other pictures until...

...we were on our way to London's Heathrow Airport in a private car Teresa had arranged for us, passing the Windsor Castle and Legoland exit on the way. By 9:00, after a smooth and uneventful ride, we were getting close. And then closer. Then through this tunnel, finally, ...

...around 9:15, pulling into Heathrow's Terminal 3 with plenty of time to check in and get through security to catch our 12:45 flight to Boston.

We checked in and got through security okay. Now we needed to find our gate so we could just sit down and relax while awaiting our flight.
