Around 5:30, we all headed up to the buffet for dinner. I started with this, then I remembered that tonight being the final night of the cruise, tonight's formal dinner choices were pretty good. (I had already checked the menu. Here's a more readable version. Prime rib, lamb shank, and pork belly all sounded pretty good.) I suggested we stop stuffing our faces at the buffet and head down to the Estrella Dining Room, but Steve and Teresa didn't want to go, so only Mei-O and I went.

And this is why I wanted to eat in the formal dining room; delicious Prime Rib cooked to perfection! We started out with a bowl of their really good French Onion Soup (it was a little salty, as it should be, so we shared it) and the Crispy Salmon Cake with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. For her entrée, Mei-O had the Sole Fillet Palermitana which was pretty good. We topped it off with a yummy Baked Alaska, completing a very satisfying meal!

But that wasn't all! Suddenly out of nowhere, a "kitchen staff parade" (0:21) snaked through the dining room!

After the parade and the excitement died down, there were some speeches, including thank yous to all the kitchen staff and servers, and the introduction of the Executive Chef, Jackson Dias, and the Director of Restaurant Operations, Ciprian Hoidreag, to thank them with a toast for the great job they did during the cruise. Cheers! And then dinner was over. What a great way to end our final formal dinner.

Tonight's Showtime performance, "A Royal Variety Show," was billed as, "Starring Cruise Director Dan, the Sky Princess Cast and Band, and Guest Entertainers!" It had some great song and dance numbers by the production cast and band, some songs by Cruise Director Dan Looney, a repeat performance by Duo Fusion UK, performances by a crew Member or two, and a song or two by Hannah Stearne (the "Tribute to Freddy Mercury" singer) and a couple of other singers (either from the production cast or members of the ship's crew). The show was quite entertaining, a good final show on this last day of the cruise.

Back in our stateroom after the show, Mei-O finished packing, then took some pictures of the setting sun and the cool clouds from our balcony. Tomorrow morning, we'd be pulling into Southampton, UK, to disembark, ending our cruise and starting our journey back home and back to reality.
