![]() After lunch, Mei-O and I played a little ping pong. There were three tables, all of them pretty level and stable (as level and stable as a ping pong table on a ship could be), and it was usually easy to find one open. |
![]() The ship left Ålesund around 5:00, and we watched Norway go by from our balcony as we wove our way past several islands on our way to the Norwegian Sea. |
![]() We showed up early in order to get good seats for tonight's Showtime show featuring Tom Timon. He was billed as, "...having spent the last 10 years chasing magic and circus around the world. With a styled honed in street theater, traditional circus, tall ships, and cabaret, Tom Timon is delighted to be joining Princess cruises for the first time." And after tonight's show, perhaps the last. Many of the tricks he did (balancing a cane on his chin, interplaying rings with a glass of some liquid, spinning a plate while playing the accordion, balancing glasses) were just plain old-fashioned vaudeville-type corny stuff, nothing difficult or exciting at all. He might be good at a kid's birthday party. |
![]() After the show, we headed up to the buffet on Deck 16 for dinner. Still trying to be careful about how much I ate, I just had some of this, while it looks like Mei-O had a pretty full plate! |
![]() Today is our 56th wedding anniversary. And when we got back to our room, we found this surprise awaiting us, "Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Shabsin." During our busy day today, we only occasionally acknowledged that this was a special day for us, but when the day was over, thinking back over all we did, we realized it really was. This was our last picture today. We'd let our dinner settle, then head off to bed as we sailed on to Haugesund, our
last port in Norway. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US! |
