Whew! Back on the bus a little after noon, we started heading back to the port. But first, ...

...we stopped at the Rosny Hill Lookout across the way from our ship (which you can see in the background), stopping just long enough to take a selfie. By a little before 1:00, we were back at the ship.

Once we got back on the ship and went back to our room to get cleaned up a bit and relax for a short while, we headed up to the Horizon Bistro for lunch. I've been really lax this trip about taking food pictures; this is the only one I have of us at lunch today. At least it serves as a placeholder for the fact that we did have lunch at this time (about 1:25) today.

After lunch, we walked around the ship a bit, taking just a few pictures of what we could see, here, from the starboard side on Deck 17, the ship docked nice and close to the pier, and here, from our balcony on the ship's port side, the Hobart shoreline that we'd soon be saying goodbye to.

Around 5:20, I saw a tug boat appear and proceed to attach itself to the bow of the ship. By 6:00, it started tugging (1:25) to get us away from the pier. In what I can only assume was a wave goodbye after the Royal Princess was successfully positioned and the tug had disconnected and pulled away from it, this happened (0:35)! We were underway (0:43), on our way to spend the next three days at sea. (Officially, only the next two days were to be sea days. On the third day, we'll reach the south end of New Zealand's South Island and spend a good deal of time cruising through the scenic Fiordland National Park.)

Around 7:15, we went down to the Princess Theater to get seats for tonight's "Comedy Juggler Joel Salom" 7:30 show. Besides juggling (0:16), he had some strange gimmicks, one that included this audience member, and one with this 13-year-old girl and his remote-controlled mechanical dog. He showed photos of the dog in various situations as he walked it around another ship mingling with people on one of his previous bookings which was pretty funny, but I honestly can't remember if the rest of his act was funny or good or at all entertaining or not.

After the show, we headed up to the Horizon Bistro, forsaking formal dining for a late-night buffet dinner. (I suppose we didn't like the selections on tonight's menu. They posted their formal dinner menu daily outside the dining rooms and we always checked it out sometime during the day.) I had some pork chops (really dry), along with some smoked salmon (I love it and had quite a bit on this trip), a couple of egg rolls (pretty good), and some French fries (really good!). Mei-O had this. And we both probably had a little more. It wasn't often we got away with just one plate.

Teresa took this beautiful sunset picture tonight; before going to bed, I got the moon.
