![]() This morning before we left for breakfast, I photographed today's "Event Listings" which we'd find on our bed every night when we returned to our room from wherever we might have been (usually the evening's show). I figured I could check it during the day to see if there was anything interesting going on that we may want to participate in or go to watch. I actually didn't look at it much (if at all) all day.... |
![]() Here's Mei-O's breakfast this morning, at least her first plate (with the ever-present-on-the-buffet-line green melon), and here's mine, pretty much the same as usual. After breakfast, it was... |
![]() ...off to the Piazza for some line dancing (0:20) - here's Mei-O with Teresa and friends (0:52) - still up on Deck 6 overlooking the crowded Deck 5 dancers. After several of days of this, Mei-O made some friends. |
![]() After almost a couple of hours of dancing, Mei-O and I finally went up to Deck 19 to check out the gym. It was pretty nice with a lot of equipment and was actually pretty busy. Would we ever use it? Unfortunately not. We were on vacation and wanted to take a break from gym exercise. |
![]() Gazing out over the sea from Deck 19, here's my weather report for today (0:14) with hopes for a good day tomorrow when we'll enter Fiordland National Park. |
![]() As the weather got nicer, Mei-O and I took a break and relaxed for a while on Deck 16 this afternoon. |
![]() Tonight's dinner menu looked pretty good; after her garden salad and a bowl of "Crab and Corn Chowder", Mei-O had the"Citrus-baked Herb Salmon" (with "black bond mussels") and I had my standard Caesar salad followed by a "Grilled Victoria Bone-In Pork Chop". Both the main courses were pretty good - as were the desserts! |
![]() We got to the theater around 7:00 in order to get good seats for tonight's 7:30 "Production Show: Sweet Soul Music", and even that early, the theater was filling up fast. The production shows, featuring the ship's own singers and dancers in colorful costumes backed by the ship's awesome band were all so well done and were quite entertaining. Here's the whole ensemble for their grand finale. At the end of each show, the cruise director, Esther, would always come out and make some announcements concerning the evening's upcoming activities and what's going on the following day. |
![]() As usual, after the show, we headed up to the Horizon Bistro for an evening snack, but the buffet was closed! It was announced in the daily events listing that "...a celebration crew dinner will take place today at the World Fresh Market [which] will be closed to guests as of 5:00 PM" which meant that no crew members would be available to man the buffet lines this evening. So we did without our evening snack tonight, instead... |
![]() ...we found a table on Deck 6 above the Piazza (where a band and dancing was going on below) and had some drinks (just coffee or hot water) and listened to the music (they had a singer too) for a while. |
![]() There was only room for three at the table, so when I was done wandering around taking pictures, Mei-O and I got our own table. Somewhere, Mei-O picked up a dish of ice cream. |
![]() And the next and last pictures I took were of the moon shining down on us over the sea. This second consecutive day at sea was over; now it was off to bed, hoping for some good weather tomorrow when we'd be cruising through Fiordland National Park. Next Top |
