| Here we go! Our flight to Los Angeles left Minneapolis in the afternoon on Wednesday, February 14th and, due to the time zone differences, arrived in L.A. just a little later in the afternoon. After a several hour layover, we left L.A. in the evening and arrived in Sydney, Australia, early in the morning on Friday, the 16th, hence, this single page to cover these first two days of travel. |

 About 10:00 AM on Wednesday the 14th, we packed up our old CR-V which we decided to drive since whatever we drove would have to be sitting outside in the Minneapolis EZ-Air Park off-site parking lot for the 18 days we'd be gone. |
 Then a quick "off-we-go" selfie (you'll see a lot of selfies before you're done viewing this site! Mei-O loves taking them) before heading over... |
 ...to pick up our traveling companions, Steve and Teresa. |
 With our flight to Los Angeles not departing until 2:20, we had lunch at the Minneapolis Airport. We'd have a layover at LAX, and that's where we'd have dinner before boarding our 13-hour flight to Sydney, Australia. |
 Around 2:00, we boarded our plane, wearing masks to try to avoid whatever nasty things might be floating around the plane's cabin during the flight. |
 Our LAX→SYD flight didn't leave until 8:40, and not knowing how soon we might be served our in-flight dinner, we grabbed a bite to eat. |
 And it was a good thing we ate before the flight, because although the in-flight dinner looked good, it really wasn't. |
 So on we flew, ...and flew, ... and flew, .... At some point, we filled out landing cards which made it feel like we were getting close (but we weren't). It wasn't a bad flight, but it was long, which made it a bad flight. But we all made it (Mei-O was worried about becoming air-sick, but she didn't), and upon landing, we were glad to be back on the ground. Next Top |
