And our timing was perfect. Our rooms were ready, so up we went to Room 404 to settle in and relax for a while. The room looks great, right? But, it was time to panic!

All the electrical outlets in the room (in the country, I suppose) were of the three-prong European style, and neither Teresa nor I brought adapters! Which meant we couldn't charge any of our devices. But surely the hotel front desk had some we could borrow or rent. Nope. We asked them where we might be able to buy some, and they told us a couple of places maybe a 15-minute walk away, so Steve and I went back up to our rooms to get ready to make the trek. Then, miraculously, I spotted this. Outlets on both side of the bed had USB ports built in, two on each side, which would be all we'd need to charge everything. Yay and Whew!

We had a pretty good view out our hotel window. The Strand Hotel rooftop bar right across the street proved to be really jumping on weekends. (A local actually invited Mei-O and me to join him for drinks there one evening when we were returning from buying dinner at the local grocery store.)

Here's our hotel from diagonally across the street. We were out looking for a place to eat dinner, but unfortunately, there were very few we could find. So we headed over to...

...the very close (across the street) Metro Grocery Store to see what we could find for dinner. They had a big "Fresh To Go" section; we concentrated on their sandwiches, and eventually, along with a few other things, came home with all this for AU$28.15 (about US$18.37). (The baguette and the sushi were really good, better than the sandwiches.) We ate it in our room, then, after a long day (remember, we hadn't any real rest after out 13-hour flight!), anticipating another busy day in Sydney tomorrow, we went to bed.
