After lunch, we continued on to our next stop, ...

...Larnach Castle. Discussing it among ourselves, we decided this really isn't a castle but just a fancy mansion. If you've ever been on a tour of a place like this, you know the tour guide takes you from room to room, telling you all sorts of interesting (and not so interesting) facts about the family that built the place and those who lived there over the last so many generations. We spent about 50 minutes in the "castle" (with several other tour groups, making it very crowded); here are a bunch of pictures from our time there.

When Mei-O and everyone else finally came down, our tour guide gave us some time to walk around the grounds and take a few pictures before we had to get back on the bus. Around 3:30, we were on our way. Our guide had one more place he wanted to take us before heading back to the ship, ...

...the beautiful Dunedin Train Station. Our guide had a reason for bringing us here - for this. He liked to end the tour by giving everyone an opportunity to get a picture under the Dunedin platform sign. After everyone who wanted to got their pictures, it was off to the ship.

All aboard time was 5:00; we cut it pretty close. The timestamp on this picture is 4:48, and we still had to walk to the gangway and get into the ship, but, of course, we made it on time. (Today's tour was not a Princess Cruise tour. I don't know how long the ship would've waited for us if we weren't on board by 5:00.)

Back on the ship, we all went to our rooms for a while to get cleaned up and relax, then met down at the Symphony Dining Room for dinner. In more of an eating mood than a picture taking mood, these are the only food pictures I took tonight. Anyhow, we ate (finishing up with those yummy desserts), then headed to the theater for...

..."Showtime with Hypnotist David Knight". This guy has an amazing act. He hypnotized these 14 volunteers that came up on stage from the audience, then had them doing all sorts of weird things, including some post-hypnotic suggestions he planted in them that kept them "performing" even after the act was over and they were off stage returning to join their friends and families.

I took no more pictures after the show tonight. Tomorrow would be another day at sea as we headed to Wellington, New Zealand.
