![]() On our way to the Liberty Dining Room, we took a detour down to Deck 5 to take a selfie in front of the Grand Staircase. Not quite as fancy as grand staircases on all the other ships we've been on, it served its purpose, winding its way up to Deck 6. On our way to dinner, we checked out some of the shops along the way. |
![]() Around 5:45, we met everyone (including Alay and Alfred, Grace, and Maria. All eight of us ate our formal dinner together every night) at the dining room. Here's tonight's menu (and here's the more readable version.) I had the Asian Spareribs with Vegetable Summer Roll and a Caesar Salad for appetizers, then Almond-crusted Hoki, a delicate White Fish for my main course (both Mei-O and I decided to eat as little meat as possible at our formal dinners, always ordering fish), then I finished it off with a Brownie S'more with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. (Mei-O had this pretty bad sugar-free cheese cake which she couldn't even finish.) |
![]() After dinner, we took some pictures with leis made by Grace and Maria in a class they attended during the day. |
![]() We left Kahului around 6:00, and shortly thereafter, the seas began to get pretty rough (0:14). Some of our friends had to go back to their rooms to rest, while some of us... |
![]() ...headed to the Hollywood Theater to watch a comedian, Vince Acevedo. This guy was terrible. The show was billed as "All ages comedy," but it wasn't. There were several teens there, and he bullied them, telling an 11-year-old girl that her parents were going to leave her behind when the cruise was over. He left the house lights on so he could bully anyone wanting to leave in the middle of his act (which he did.) |
![]() After leaving the show, Mei-O and I passed this singer at a piano bar. In the evenings, there was always some music to be heard for those who liked to sit around and drink and listen to some relaxing music. But for us, we headed back to our room and went to bed. Tomorrow morning around 8:00, we'd be docking in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii where we'd be going to visit the
