For many years now, I've had a blog called "A Year In Photos" on our Shabsin Family of Rochester, Minnesota, website. Like everything on the website, it's password protected so only family members and a few close friends can see it. On and off, I've decided to put one of my picture-of-the-day entries out here in my public space so anyone who knows about it can see it. So if you've found this page, you can enjoy my latest entry and all its supporting pictures and the narrative that accompanies it, at least for now. (It'll only stay up until I post a new one, but that's not very often.)

Click on the main picture or any of the blue underlined links to see the corresponding pictures full size. (And feel free to download and share them if you'd like.)

February 5, 2025

Wednesday, February 5 - At tonight's Rochester Symphony rehearsal for this weekend's concerts, our concertmaster, Alexandra, asked me to take some pictures during the rehearsal (which I would've taken anyhow, even if she didn't ask). Today's picture-of-the-day was taken from the balcony, while this one was taken from the main floor where you can't really see deep into the orchestra, but you can see Alexandra in the 1st violin/concertmaster chair. I took several more pictures, but they are all pretty similar, after all, there's not a lot of movement/action going on on stage, so I'll just send her the three pictured here along with this one of her tuning the orchestra and hope she's happy with them.
