Me. Riflery was one of my favorite activities. I earned several marksmanship medals shooting .22 caliber rifles.

Me (second from the left in the back row) with my cabinmates. I don't remember any of them.

In the dining hall. John the Cook prepared great meals, and, as I remember so well, he sang great spirituals, too. (I especially remember his soulful rendition of 'Swing Low, Sweet Chariot'.)

Playing tetherball, one of the many camp sports we often participated in.

Playing volleyball. I believe that's my brother Joel all the way on the left. Our cabins are in the background.

Swimming at the beach. That's the main camp building (which included the dining hall) in the background.

We built a sailboat. I seem to remember it sailed pretty well.

I'm guessing this was most everybody at the camp (though I'm not sure where my mom and dad are). I'm the fourth from the left in the front row, and my brother Joel is the second from the left in the fourth row (counting up from the bottom). In the third row are many of the staff, including John the Cook (second from left - and a great cook!) and Morey (with the sunglasses) and Betty Friedman, partners in the camp ownership. The camp counselors were in the back row.

The counselors story-telling around a campfire. Being out in the wilderness in Northern Wisconsin begged for some Indian tales.

The daily flag raising (or lowering?) ceremony with Morey playing the bugle.
